House rules
An all-pay auction for eight real spots.
StealSpot is an all-pay sponsorship auction. Every bid is a full payment, charged immediately and kept whether or not you end up with the physical placement. Read this page before you bid — the same non-refundable disclosure sits next to the payment button, and you must confirm it before checkout.
The inventory
- Eight fixed positions on the back of a 13-inch iPad Air: two large spots from $350, two medium spots from $175, four small spots from $79.
- Each spot is one logo. The highest paid bid in a position when the campaign closes wins that physical position for 12 months.
- Spots are tied to the position, not to a brand: any other brand can take your spot at any time by paying more.
Bidding and payments
- Every bid is a separate full payment charged 100% immediately. Outbidding someone never means paying only the difference.
- The minimum outbid increment is $10 over the current leader's paid amount. Maximum bid is $100,000.
- Bids are whole US dollars, shown in USD everywhere on this site. The amount you confirm in checkout is the amount Dodo Payments charges.
- A payment counts only after the payment provider confirms it. Confirmed payments appear permanently in the public supporters ledger with the brand link.
- If two payments for the same spot cross in flight, the higher paid amount leads and the lower one is recorded as an outbid supporter entry. Nobody is charged twice by the auction for one bid.
Non-refundable, stated plainly
- Every bid is non-refundable, including if another brand steals your spot before the campaign closes.
- Every successful bid delivers two things immediately: live digital placement on the public mockup while leading, and a permanent public ledger entry with the brand link. Those are real deliverables, which is why payments are kept even after an outbid.
- If the $1,693 funding target is not reached, the iPad is not purchased. Payments still remain non-refundable because the digital placement and permanent listing were delivered.
- Removal for violating these disclosed rules does not create an implied refund promise.
- Duplicate charges, technical payment errors, chargebacks, and legally required remedies are provider and consumer-law matters handled with Dodo Payments — they are not part of the auction's refund policy, because the auction has no refund policy.
Before you pay
- There is no pre-payment approval process. Basic eligibility is validated at checkout: a working brand URL and a valid bid amount.
- Prohibited: illegal products and services, scams, hate speech, adult content, and gambling. Anything in violation of these disclosed rules can be removed from the device and the mockup.
- Checkout requires an explicit unchecked-by-default acknowledgement: that this is a full, non-refundable payment and that another brand can outbid you.
The physical placement
- Winning logos are printed as die-cut vinyl on the back of the iPad Air and remain for 12 months.
- Physical logo sizes and positions may vary slightly from the on-screen mockup. The mockup is a faithful representation, not a print-proof.
- No traffic, clicks, leads, impressions, sales, or revenue are guaranteed. This is sponsorship placement, not performance marketing.
- No fake bids, fake logos, planted sponsors, or seeded revenue. The ledger starts empty and only grows with real payments.
- StealSpot is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Apple. iPad Air and Apple Pencil Pro are trademarks of Apple Inc.
